Her journey in the design world began in St. Michaels, Maryland, where she was raised in a family of creatives. With her mother and grandmother being small business owners in the antiques field, Katrina developed a deep appreciation for design from a young age. She initially embarked on her career in fashion as a design assistant at Gap Inc., followed by a position as a fabric buyer at Ralph Lauren, where she sourced textiles globally. In 2009, her love for textiles and design led her to the interiors department of AD100 firm Sawyer | Berson, and by 2014, she co-founded the New York-based design firm Hernandez Greene. How can I prep for my consultation call?
Gather your design ideas and all forms of inspiration (think: sketches, photos, color swatches and images from your chosen designer’s portfolio). The more prepared you are for your consultation, the more personalized and productive your consultation call will be. You are welcome to have family members and architects present to optimize your time.
How long are the consultation calls?
You have two options — 30 minutes and 60 minutes. The half-hour call is great for quick questions and decision making, like choosing paint colors or reviewing some of your selections before pulling the trigger.
